Qubes OS

Hello everyone,
I’m subscribed to many YouTubers who keep me up to date on Linux distros, and I’ve tried a lot of different ones. However, I had never come across this particular distro until now. It’s a really cool one, with a focus on security that it achieves through virtualization.
To explain, you can create different profiles for various situations, like work or personal use. Each of these profiles runs a separate operating system in its own virtual machine. So, if one of those machines gets compromised, you can simply delete it and create a new one. That’s a fascinating concept!
While I do use VirtualBox to run Kali Linux or Parrot OS, Qubes OS is a different kind of beast. In Qubes, every app can run in its own virtual machine, but it appears just like a normal window, which is really impressive. I’ve embedded a YouTube video below that explains and demonstrates it in more detail.
This feature is really amazing, and I hope we’ll see similar techniques in other distros, without having to rely entirely on virtualbox or similar programms. The downside of Qubes OS, however, is that running many different virtual machines at once can consume a lot of resources on your computer.
